Granilouro is one of the first companies in Europe to obtain the European Ecolabel (ECOLABEL) for natural stone hard coverings, with our products Gris Louro, Blanco Louro and Silvestre Louro.
The ECOLABEL, created in 1992, is an important part of the Community policy of voluntary instruments to help companies and consumers to improve their environmental performance. It is one of the instruments included in the EU Sustainable Consumption and Production and Sustainable Industrial Policy Action Plan and is supported by EU environmental authorities and Member States.
The objective is to promote products that can reduce adverse environmental impacts, compared to other products in the same category, thus contributing to an efficient use of resources and a high level of environmental protection. This objective is achieved by providing consumers with accurate, non-deceptive and scientifically based guidance and information on such products.
